You can still finish your Final Cut Pro tutorials from home. You can do basic editing with the open source (free) video editing software Olive. Just follow the tutorials below.

You can substitute these videos for the Final Cut Pro tutorials. Of course, if you have FCP, you can continue doing them in FCP. If you have a different program, you can e-mail me the name and I'll let you know if it will work. Don't forget to upload you work to YouTube, and call it fcp1, fcp2, etc...

Hello Broadcast I students. Mr. Dotson here. Instead of After Effects we're doing segments for the weekly bulletin. You can get up to five points. One point for each time a spot is chosen for the bulletin. You’ve learned the basics for making broadcast quality videos for the morning announcements. Now, it’s time to practice what you’ve learned. Use your phone or whatever camera you have.

I’m looking for segments from all Broadcast classes for a quarantine special of The LHS Rock. Here are the themes and a video showing the minimal standards for quality.

Here are the themes:
New assignments will be starting April 13th
How to be productive during quarantining
What we’ve learned from being in quarantine (Some positive things)
Where and what is lhslearns.weebly.com
Logging into office.com to get school docs
Checking and Finding School e-mail
Scheduling Work/Fun Time
You can upload to your YouTube channel and send me the link via e-mail. Let me know if you have any questions about the themes.

Remember, the videos you send must be landscape view (sideways), well lit, have acceptable sound and NOT be shaky.

Also, at least do a rough edit at home before you upload the video. You can use whatever you have on your computer to edit. If you don’t have anything, you can download OpenShot Video Editor https://www.openshot.org/download/. It’s free and easy to use. When you've finish all five, you can e-mail them to me. Thanks.
