use the arrow keys to move (↑ , ↓ , ← , → )and the spacebar to shoot. if the boss shoots you or gets past the red line, you lose a life. If you lose all 3 lives you lose the game
If you do not see the ship you may have to move it up. You cannot shoot and move at the same time, so remove your hands from the arrow keys when you shoot
