1. You'll need to choose a domain name. These are typically the name of your business. For example, mine is http://www. bigdayvideos.com/.
the charge for registering your name is minimal. It is typically around $6.00 - 12.00 a year. First, do a search for sites to register your name.

I would suggest that you use the .com tag if you can. These places will also let you know if your name is already taken.
2. After you have your name, you'll need to find a company to host your site. Generally, your internet provider such as Comcast or ATT will not support business pagesunless the have their name first. An example would be http://www.comcast./yourname.net or http://homepage.mac.com/yourname/. I use MacHighway- http://www.machighway.com/. But there are many others. These hosting sites will charge $12.00 - 16.00 per month depending on the service.
3. If you are selling a product, I suggest using PayPal buttons- http://www.paypal.com/. You will need an account. After registering, you can copy the buttons. There is no charge for starting. They will take a percentage of credit card transations.
